The longer of the two also runs more frequently. You fly from Salt Lake to Yellowstone and take a tour of Old Faithful and all the main geyser basins on Yellowstone’s lower loop. You then head north to the upper loop, visiting Gibbon Falls and Norris Geyser Basin, which is the most thermally active part of Yellowstone, before driving to Mammoth Hot Springs, with its elk herd and ever changing travertine terraces! There will be a brief stop at Roosevelt Arch, before heading to the airport for the flight back to Salt Lake.

The second of the two one day Yellowstone air tours from Salt Lake City costs less, but is shorter and does not run as often during the year. This tour visits Old Faithful and the main geyser basins of Yellowstone’s lower loop.
